Attila Vári

Attila Vári ( born February 26, 1976 in Budapest) is a Hungarian water polo player. Attila Vári is 2,00 m tall and his competition weight is 93 kg.

Attila Vári belongs to the generation of Hungarian water polo player who was able to build on the great successes of the 1950s from the 1990s.

He began his career in the modern pentathlon, but then changed her water polo and is a member of since 1997 the Hungarian national team. 1997 and 1999 the team became European Champion with Attila Vári, between the team won silver at the World Championships in 1998.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, the Hungarian team with Attila Vári won gold. 2001 and 2003 he finished third at the European Championships and won the 2003 world title. In Athens at the 2004 Olympics, he helped to defend the gold medal of 2000. In 2005 he won silver at the World Championships.
