Attilio Nicora

Cardinal Attilio Nicora ( born March 16, 1937 in Varese, Italy ) is a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Attilio Nicora received by philosophical, theological and legal studies in June 1964, the sacrament of Holy Orders by the Archbishop of Milan, Giovanni Umberto Colombo. He is a graduate lawyer, Doctor of Canon Law and holder of Bachelor Degree in Catholic Theology. He was professor of canon law and general canon law at the seminary of Milan, which he headed as rain.

Pope Paul VI. 1977 appointed him titular bishop of Furnos Minor and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Milan. He received his episcopal consecration on May 28, 1977 Cardinal Giovanni Umberto Colombo; Were co-consecrators Bernardo Citterio, Auxiliary Bishop of Milan, and Giulio Oggioni, Bishop of Bergamo.
