Attilio R. Frassinelli

Attilio R. Frassinelli (born 7 August 1907 in Stafford, Connecticut, † February 1976 ) was an American politician. Between 1967 and 1971 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Connecticut.

Career

About the youth and education of Attilio Frassinelli nothing is handed down. Later he worked in the insurance industry and real estate business. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party. Already in 1932 he belonged to the Board of Education to his hometown of Stafford. Between 1946 and 1958 he was a city councilor ( First Selectman ) in Stafford. From 1947 to 1953 he also sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Connecticut. He was also a member of the State Board of his party and the state commissioner for consumer protection. Between 1952 and 1972 he was several times a delegate to substitute various Democratic National Conventions.

1966 Frassinelli was elected to the side of John N. Dempsey for Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut. This post he held 1967-1971. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he is no longer politically have appeared. He died in February 1976.
