Attitude and heading reference system

An Attitude Heading Reference System ( AHRS ) is a measurement system for the determination of roll- pitch-yaw angle changes, accelerations and price, especially for the control of aircraft, aircraft models.

To each of three axes rotation, acceleration, and position capture ( relative to the magnetic field) are at least nine individual sensors necessary; these are usually gyroscopes, accelerometers and magnetometers. To improve the results of additional sensors such as the GPS can also be used.

In contrast to a simple inertial sensor the raw values of the sensors are preprocessed (eg using Kalman filters ) and provided in automated queryable interface.
