Auchan

Auchan is a French hypermarket chain, which operates in 13 countries. At Auchan has approximately 700 hypermarkets, 750 supermarkets (as of 2013) as well as smaller supermarkets.

History

Takeover of Eastern Europe business from Real

Based in the French Croix retail chain Auchan was on 30 November 2012, the acquisition of real- supermarkets by METRO GROUP in Central and Eastern Europe known. Auchan takes over from the Metro Group 's operating business and the real estate in Poland, Romania, Russia and Ukraine for 1.1 billion euros.
