Audnedal is a commune in the province of Vest- Agder in Norway. It is bordered to the north by Åseral, to the east Aust -Agder and Marnardal, to the south and to the west by Lindesnes Lyngdal and Hægebostad.

The eponymous river Audna which is once again offers good fishing for salmon and sea trout, the Commune of Ytre Øydnevatn Coming flows in a north-south direction to terminate at Vigeland in the community Lindesnes into the sea. In the valley of the Reichsstrasse leads along 460.

The railway line Sørlandsbanen crosses the municipality and in Audnedal station stop long-distance trains. To the west of the station, the route through the Hægebostadtunnel, which is one of the longest railway tunnels in Norway.

Today's municipality Audnedal was built in 1964 by merging Grind Home, Konsmo a part of the municipality Bjelland.
