Audrey Brown

Audrey Kathleen Kilner Brown MBE ( born May 24, 1913 in India, † 11 June 2005 in Manchester, after marriage Audrey Court ) was a British track and field athlete and Olympian. She was the sister of the Olympic champion Godfrey Brown.

At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, she won the team silver medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay along with teammates Eileen Hiscock, Violet Olney and Barbara Burke behind the team from the USA (Gold ) and before the team from Canada ( bronze). In the 100 - meter race she was eliminated in the flow.

Your best time in the 200 -meter run of 25.4 s they put 1937 on in a country fighting in Paris. About 100 meters she ran her personal best of 12.3 s in Vienna in advance of the European Championships 1938. Then eliminated in the semi-finals, the British squadron was disqualified.

She was the sister of the Olympic champion from 1936 Godfrey Brown and bronze medal winner at the Empire Games in 1934 Ralph Brown. For her volunteer activities, she was awarded the Order MBE.
