Audrey Niffenegger

Audrey Niffenegger ( born June 13, 1963 in South Haven, Michigan, United States) is an American writer and artist.

In 1985, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago ( SAIC), and in 1991 her Master of Fine Arts degree from Northwestern University. She is a professor Interdisciplinary Arts between book and picture at Columbia College Chicago. In her classes she is mainly concerned with the merging of images and texts, for example, by comics or installations. In addition, she teaches high-pressure process, sealing, drawing and other artistic techniques.

Your pictures, drawings and prints are on display in Chicago since 1987 Printworks Gallery. She sees herself as an artist influenced mainly by the work of Horst Janssen, Aubrey Beardsley, Winsor McCay, Jiri Anderle, Käthe Kollwitz, Joseph Cornell, Goya, Hans Bellmer and Max Ernst.

Your picture books were finished by hand in an edition of 10 pieces. Two of these books have been transferred to the success of her first novel now: The Three Incestuous Sisters and The Adventuress.

2003 her novel was published The Time Traveler's Wife ends, by which it became known and was filmed in 2009 with Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana in the lead roles.
