Geography

The Auetal lies between the Süntel, the Weser Mountains and the Bückeberg.

In Hattendorf springs the current flowing through the municipality Aue, also called Bückeburger Aue, which is fed by numerous streams and empties into the Weser.

The A 2 cuts through the 5 km wide and 15 km long Auetal.

History

On December 11, 1182 Places Antendorf, Small Holtensen, Rehren and Wiersen were first mentioned.

Coat of arms
