The Aufacker lies between the Hoernle (1548 m) in the north- west and the Ettaler Manndl ( 1633 m) in the southeast. In addition to the Great Aufacker is 700 meters to the east with a height of 1531 m above sea level. NHN the Small Aufacker.
The Aufacker is largely consisted of woods and easy to climb through forest and hiking trails. From Oberammergau from first go east through the district of St. Gregory on the wooded southern ridge in ( according to literature ) about two hours to the summit. Another way to climb offers over the mountain inn Romanshöhe, near Oberammergau.
