Aufhausen Priory

Monastery Aufhausen is a former monastery of the Oratory ( Filipinos ) in Aufhausen in Bavaria in the Diocese of Regensburg, today there is again an oratorio ( Brothers of the Holy Blood ) or a branch of the Servants of the Holy Blood (SAS ), which saw canonically a public Association of Canon Law constitute legal personality.

History

The Lady of the Snows consecrated monastery was founded in the late 17th century by the local priest Johann Georg silk bush. The monastery was not lifted during the secularisation of Bavaria and was given the title "Royal Nerianerinstitut " (until 1829). 1886 died the last provost. 1890 took over from the Lower Bavarian Benedictine monastery of Metten the empty buildings. They built a new building and a priory. In 1978 the priory was abandoned. Since 2006 located in Aufhausen a branch of the Brothers of the Holy Blood, which the Bishop of Regensburg has transferred the parish for pastoral care.
