The station Augsburg -Oberhausen is located in the northwest of the center, the suburb of Augsburg Oberhausen and is the second most important railway station of the city. The current station building was south of the old Oberhauser station built 1931/32 in the style of New Objectivity. Before recently an exterior renovation subjected station building is a large tram and bus stop.
Construction
Augsburg- Oberhausen is a through station with seven tracks on four platforms. The trains can be reached via a non- disabled -developed tunnel under the tracks, which runs from the ground floor of the station building. The station building houses a ticket machine, a kiosk and a bar
Transport supply

In recent years this fact has been recognized by remodeling and renovation projects, especially of the station square and the exterior facade. However, is still essential to the construction of a turning track, which must still be performed. Right now this project - as well as the introduction of the S -Bahn Augsburg - still in the planning stage.

In November 2009, Augsburg -Oberhausen were for the film Almanya at the station - rotated Welcome to Germany with 100 extras the scenes of the arrival of the first Turkish guest workers in Germany in 1964.
