August Diehl
August Diehl ( born January 4, 1976 in Berlin ) is a German actor.
Life
Diehl is the son of actor Hans Diehl; his mother is a costume designer. After graduating from a Waldorf school, he studied at the Academy of Dramatic Arts " Ernst Busch" Berlin spectacle. Diehl's role models are the actors Gert Voss, with whom he played together, and Robert De Niro.
His first film work, the lead role as computer hacker Karl Koch in the movie 23 - Nothing is as it seems in 1998, brought him recognition and the German Film Award as the Best Actor. This was followed by numerous other film roles and theater works of the great German stage, for which he received other awards.

His brother Jacob Diehl is a composer and actor.
On the night of March 8, 2011 Diehl undertook together with Pete Doherty and a stranger a pub crawl in Regensburg, where both were staying at filming the movie Confession of a Child of the Century.
