August Friedrich Ernst Langbein

August Friedrich Ernst Langbein ( born September 6, 1757 Klippenstein Castle in Radeberg; † January 2, 1835 in Berlin) was a German poet of his time widely read and novelist.

Life

Langbein, son of a civil servant who was educated in the Prince's School in Meissen. Since 1777, he studied law in Leipzig and entered 1781 at a location in the judicial office Großenhain.
