Augusta is a city in the U.S. state of New York. It is located in the southwestern part of Oneida County, and has 1,966 inhabitants ( 2000).
History
The settlement of Augusta began 1793. The city was founded in 1798 by White Town from. The city was probably to Augusta, Maine, named or after the officer Augustus Van Horn.
Geography
The city has 71.8 km ² and no water surfaces. The city is bordered to the south and west by Madison County, New York.
