Augustus Henry Mounsey

Augustus Henry Mounsey KCMG (* 1834, † April 10, 1882 in Bogotá ) was a British diplomat.

Life

Mounseys father was the fourth son of George G. Mounsey of Castletown, Cumberland (now a district of Penrith ). He attended Rugby School since 1849. Augustus Henry Mounsey was sent on 10 February 1876 as Secretary to Yedo (Tokyo) and on 22 July 1878, Athens. From 1881 until his death he served as British Minister Resident and Consul General in Colombia.
