Aulis Koponen

Aulis Koponen ( born April 5, 1906 in Helsinki, † March 8, 1978 ) was a Finnish football players.

Koponen played 1924-1935 38 times for the Finnish national team, scoring 16 goals. His first international game he played on 17 June 1924 in Helsinki against Turkey ( 2:4 ), he scored his first goal in the 5:7 defeat of Finland against Sweden on 28 July 1924. The last international match was a friendly match in Munich on August 18, 1935 against Germany ( 0:6 ).

In Finland Koponen played for the club Helsingin Palloseura (HPS ). With this club he won in 1926, 1927, 1929, 1932, 1934 and 1935, the Finnish Championship.
