Aumale

Aumale is a commune with 2334 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Seine- Maritime in the Haute -Normandie; it belongs to the district of Dieppe and the Canton of Aumale.

Aumale is located in the Valley of the Bresle, 16 km from Formerie and Hornoy -le- Bourg, 18 km from Foucarmont and Poix- de -Picardie, 21 km from Grand Villiers, 22 km from Blangy -sur- Bresle and 26 miles from Neufchatel -en- Bray and Forges- les- Eaux.

  • The church of Saint -Pierre -Saint -Paul was rebuilt from 1508 to 1601, after it had been destroyed in 1472 by Charles the Bold. The portal page is Jean Goujon attributed. The church contains stained glass windows from the 16th century, laying the grave of the Dukes of Aumale.
