Aurizon Holdings Limited is a publicly listed company in Australia, which operates freight. It is 2012 emerged from QR National. Previously, the company operated under QR Limited.

Infrastructure

Aurizon operates and manages a 2670 km long railway network for heavy freight, the ' Central Queensland Coal Network. This consists of four major sub-networks.

Moura system

The Moura system is connected to the Blackwater system. It is located in Central Queensland, south-west of Gladstone. The system serves the industrial and rural communities of the Dawson and Callide Valleys in Central Queensland.

Blackwater system

The Blackwater system is the largest of the four coal systems and handles the second highest transport volume. It is located in Central Queensland, and operates the Bowen Basin coal region.

Goonyella system

The Goonyella system is located in Central Queensland, and operates the Bowen Basin coal region. It transports the coal to the Hay Point Coal Terminal and Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal.

Newlands system

The Newlands system is located at the northern end of the Bowen Basin in North Queensland. It contains part of the North Coast Line between Durroburra and Kaili and the line to the Port of Abbot Point.
