Aurobindo Pharma

Aurobindo Pharma Limited was founded in 1986 and has over 6,000 employees and 15 manufacturing plants operating worldwide. Many international customers (including the generics company Actavis ) trust eg on the production of their generics by Aurobindo. Aurobindo Pharma was formed in 1992 on the Indian Stock Exchange ( National Stock Exchange of India ); NSE: AUROPHARMA.

Field of activity

Aurobindo Pharma is a supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (eg penicillins ), worked as a contract manufacturer of medicines and as a distributor of its own generics. In January 2014 Aurobindo, announced that the European subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma sales transactions by Actavis in seven European countries, including Germany, France and Italy will take over.

The German Aurobindo Pharma GmbH has its headquarters in Unterschleissheim near Munich. Managing directors are Alexander fiddle and Venugopalan Muralidharan.
