Aurora is a city in Portage County, Ohio, United States. In the 2000 census, the city had 13,556 inhabitants.

Geography

Auroras geographical coordinates are 41 ° 19 ' N, 81 ° 21' W41.319166666667 - 81.355833333333 ( 41.319254, -81.355859 ). Leisure Activities

Even in the time of 1887, there were at Giles Pond - now known as Geauga Lake - entertainment venues and other opportunities for leisure activities. The roller coaster Big Dipper was here for 82 years in operation.

The second historical park in the SeaWorld chain was built in 1970 on the northern edge of the city. It was purchased in 2001 with the adjacent Six Flags Geauga Lake, and arrived in 2004 the property of Cedar Fair, the largest part of the former marine mammal park was closed. Cedar Fair operates the facility as a water park.
