Aursjøen

The Aursjøen is a lake in Norway. It lies on the border between the two municipalities Lesya (county of Oppland ) and Nesset (county of Møre og Romsdal ). In 1953 the Aursøen was dammed and raised the water level by 25 meters, so that the adjacent lakes and Gautsjøen Grynningen merged with him. The reservoir supplies the hydroelectric plants aura Kraftverk in Sunndalsøra (290 MW aura and 20 MW Osbu ) and Grytten (149 MW ) near Åndalsnes with water. The natural flow proceeds through the aura to Eikesdalsvatnet and on about the Eira for long fjord.
