The Austin Loadstar or Austin K2 Series II was a truck by the British Austin Motor Company produced from 1949. These were the first new truck design from Austin after the Second World War and at the same time is the last standalone. The Loadstar was a revised version of the Austin K2 and was offered in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia, partially as Austin K2 for the 2 -ton and as Austin K4 for the 5-ton payload variant. The Loadstar an output of 125 hp was powered by a six-cylinder petrol engine from Austin, who from 3995 cc (92 kW) scooped. Available were two different wheelbases with 2.9 and 4.0 meters. In the early 1950s, the economic difficulties of Austin and the Morris Motor Company to a forced merger of British Motor Corporation. From this the the Loadstar was in 1956 replaced by the Austin S201/401/501, which was also offered by badge - engineering as Morris WF.

There was also a military version with all-wheel drive under the name Austin K9. There were various bodies, such as ambulances, water tankers, rescue vehicle and radio car. The military version often had a round hatch in the roof of the cab, which was used for weapons or for observation.
