Australia Prize

The Australia Prize was between 1990 and 1999 Australia's most important research award. The prize was awarded annually for outstanding achievements in science and technology. In 1991, no winners were chosen. The Australian government awarded the prize internationally; 10 of the 28 winners were not Australian.

Since 2000, the academic awards of the Prime Minister to replace the Australia Prize. The Grand Prize is the Prime Minister's Prize for Science.
