The Australian national ice hockey team is the national women's hockey national team of Australia in the women's ice hockey. In January 2011, the team is on the 25th place in the IIHF World Ranking.

History

The Australian national hockey team of women taking part in the World Cup 2000 match on operation of the International Ice Hockey Federation. At their first World Cup appearance in 2000 the team failed to qualify for the B- World Cup for the following year. In the following year, Australia failed to qualify for the Division II in the newly created third power level at the Women's World Cup, but rose in the 2003 World Cup first Division III to Division II. In the following years, the Australians dominated the Division III repeatedly, but could not hold long term in Division II.

Since the divisions were III to V not played at the 2009 World Cup and 2010 due to the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver anyway held no Women's World Cup, Australia denies first time in 2011 after three years a World Cup match and enters the Division of III.
