Australian Lightwing GR 912

The Australian Lightwing GR 912 and Sport 2000 is a sport aircraft family is manufactured in Australia Australian Lightwing.

History and construction

The planes of the family are braced high-wing monoplane with a conventional tail unit and a retractable tricycle landing gear equipped with either no or spur wheel chassis. The closed cabin has two seats in tandem configuration. The body is made of welded steel tubes, and is covered with fiberglass and fabric. The wings are made of an aluminum frame and are partly clad with aluminum, partly covered with fabric. The standard engine Rotax 582 two-stroke engine with 48 kW, the Rotax 912ULS four-stroke engine are available with 75 kW or various automotive engine conversions. The aircraft is also offered as a kit for the Amateurbau.
