Australian of the Year

Australian of the Year is an award that has been awarded since 1960 every year in Australia to honor citizens who have reached outstanding in their field, one did a " significant contribution to the Australian community and nation " or a role model in the Australian community are. Since 1979, the Young Australian of the Year Award is also awarded the Senior Australian Award was introduced in 1999, and the Local Hero Award 2003. Winners will be determined by the Australia Day Council.
