Australians Against Further Immigration

Australians Against Further Immigration ( AAFI ) was an Australian party whose members themselves as " eco - nationalists " describe and are against population growth through immigration. The party was founded in 1989, registered in 1990 and again in 2008 disbanded. Founders were the parents of actor Jesse Spencer, Rodney and Robyn Spencer. They claim that another immigration is harmful for the country and its environment.

At both the state and federal level, both were regularly represented as candidates, without ever having won a seat. Of the opponents of the party you always hear allegations that she was racist and had connections with the local right-wing scene, the Australian League of Rights. In 1994, they were denounced by Franca Arena in the Parliament of New South Wales, who quoted a AAFI candidates truthfully with the words: " My policy on refugees and illegal to open a second Yallah - meat factory, while 500 local to create jobs and to process the blood and bones. "

After the party was unable to prove in 2005 that she still has the minimum number of members to be allowed to vote, underlined the Australian Electoral Commission, the party of their lists.

In March 2007, the AAFI tried to bring 56 candidates to the House of New South Wales, and could reach 1.6 % of the votes of the House of Lords. In the end it was enough, however, for any of the candidates to be elected.

On 21 March 2007 gave counsel to the ABC local radio that one as one of the campaign issues the deportation of all immigrants since 1990, having come to provide for, so as to get the water shortages and the difficulties with climate change under control.

In 2008, the party was dissolved.
