History
The name is an allusion to one of the first, cheapest and downright " dreaded" filterless cigarette brands, which was produced by the Austria Tabak works until around the end of the 50s, the Austria 3 ( sl "triple ").
The Group initiated by Rain Fendrich merger with both Austrian Wolfgang Ambros and Georg Danzer pop singers, originally intended for a single fundraising event for the homeless. The overwhelming success prompted the three artist friends, to 2006 appear closer together, and there emerged common live albums and compilations.
The band announced on June 10, 2006 announced their upcoming separation. Their last concert took place in the Swabian Altusried on 24 July 2006.
On 16 April 2007, the friendship was at Georg Danzer's comeback concert in the Stadthalle in Vienna together again to present to three of her old songs; followed by " thinking aloud " of several pages about a possible revival in 2008.
However, Georg Danzer died on 21 June 2007 from lung cancer.
When you thought in 2011 on the reunification in 2012, there was a dispute between Wolfgang Ambros and Fendrich Rain. Klaus Eberhartinger should replace Georg Danzer.
On June 22, 2013 Wolfgang Ambros and Rain Fendrich led on the 30th Danube Island Festival on seven songs from Austria 3.
