automatic volume control

The Automatic Volume Control ( engl: Automatic Volume Control) is a special form of automatic gain control ( AGC), in which the level (volume ) of the reproduction of radios, CD players, etc. are automatically adjusted to the level of ambient noise and thus subjective to the handset is held equal. For this, in a noisy environment expectant the level of the reproduced sound recording increased, so the volume is above the noise level.

The method is used partly for car stereos (see GALA ) and also a telephone.
