Automotive Network Exchange

The Automotive Network Exchange ( ANX ) is a Virtual Private Network (VPN ), which was originally set up and operated by the Automotive Industry Action Group, Telcordia, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler in order to serve the American automotive manufacturers and suppliers. In the meantime, the customer base has broadened to cover the banking sector and the medical sector is showing the background of the laws applicable to it for information security also considerable interest.

The network was first built in 1995. 1999, it was sold to the Science Applications International Corporation ( SAIC) and the operation was carried out from now through ANXeBusiness. During the following six years, the number of participants increased by 4,000 companies .. 2006 ANXeBusiness was acquired by One Equity Partners.

The correspondence of the ANX is in Europe, the European Network Exchange ( ENX ) and in Japan, the Japanese Network Exchange ( JNX).
