Autophony
Autophony called an unusually loud hearing body's own noise, particularly one's own voice.
Possible causes:
- Open or gaping tube ( eustachian tube ), making the voice and the breath sounds are transmitted into the middle ear.
- Conductive hearing loss as in the case of otitis media (middle ear infection ), otosclerosis, etc.
- Bogengangsdehiszenz that can lead to abnormally increased bone conduction. This often leads to a hyperacusis, in which not only its own voice, but also typically heartbeat, skeletal noises ( eg, when running ) and even eye movements during reading can be heard.
