The Autostrada A25 (Italian for, highway A25 '), also known as the Autostrada dei Parchi, is an Italian motorway in the middle of the country. It runs from Torano to Chieti and is 114 km long.

Course

The A25 is the continuation of the A24 motorway, from which it branches off. It links together with this Rom with Pescara on the Adriatic coast. They crossed the Abruzzo Apennines.

The highway begins at Torano, where they branched off from the A24, which leads to Teramo. It runs eastward past Avezzano, where she runs through the valley Piana del Fucino, where once stood the Fucino. In Celano the highway again reached gebirgigeres terrain. History

The highway was built in several sections. The first section between Torano and Avezzano was opened on 14 September 1969. In 1970 the section between Pescara and Manoppello. On 28 July 1973, the section between the SS 5 and Manopello was handed over to traffic. The distance between Scafa and the SS 5 followed on 1 January 1975 Further sections were 1976 ( Torre dei Passi - Bussi and Avezzano - Celano ) and 1977 ( Bussi - Torre dei Passeri ). Opened.

On May 6, 1978, the distance between Celano and Cocullo was released. The last section was opened on 7 August 1978 between Cocullo and Popoli. Since then, the highway full length is passable.

Expansion of state

The A25 is expanded throughout the route to four lanes ( two lanes in each direction).

Although the highway that runs through the mountainous area of the Apennines, has the A25 on little tunnel. The longest distance is the San Domenico with a length of 4,567 m.
