The Autostrada A31 (Italian for, A31 '), also Autostrada della Val d' ASTICO called, is a highway in the Italian region of Veneto in northeast Italy which is currently 40 km long and toll roads. The highway is currently conducting of Piovene Rocchette - over Schio Vicenza and opens into the A4. This section was opened in 1976. After full completion, it is to run from Trento - Rovereto on Vicenza to Rovigo to the newly planned Autostrada Padana Inferiore. The A31 can be divided into three sections:

  • Northern part: Piovene - Rocchette to Trento ( in planning phase)
  • Midsection: Piovenne - Rocchette up to A4 in Vicenza ( completed )
  • South: A4 Vicenza to Rovigo ( expected completion 2012 to 2013 [ deprecated] )

Continued construction

For years, a further construction of the A31 to Trent to the north and to Rovigo is planned in the south, already in the 1980s there were first planning.

Decisive role in the delay local administrations in Trentino and various environmental activists (WWF ) that a further construction the South ( Rovigo) and want to avoid the north ( Trent ).

A building permit for the continued construction in the south was granted in 2005, started in 2006 with the construction. The route Vicenza Rovigo should be completed originally in 2010, but now is out of a total completion 2013 at the earliest [ deprecated] is assumed. On September 22, 2012, the first 7 km from the A4 were at least as far as Longare - opens Montegaldella as the first part of the southern section and released on June 26, 2013 was followed the next 8 KM after Albettone - Barbarano.

The construction includes a 54- km route, from the A4 to the SS434 " Transpolesana " west of the A13. Thus, to simplify connection of the Emilia-Romagna region are produced.

The extension of the A31 northbound is being planned. A new design with feasibility study, by the year 2013 [ deprecated] present.
