The Autostrada A32 (Italian for, A32 '), also Autostrada del Frejus called, is an Italian highway in the northwest of the country that runs from Turin to Frejus tunnel on the border with France. It is 73 km long and toll road in its entire length.

Course

The A32 connects the city of Turin and hence the economic region of the Po Valley with France and Lyon. It is next to the A5 is the only highway that crosses the Alps in France and therefore very significant.

The centerpiece is the Mont Cenis tunnel (also called Fréjus tunnel ). However, this is classified as a separate tunnel motorway T4 ( Traforo stradale del Frejus ).

It runs through the Val di Susa and runs along the highest mountains in the Alps.

The A32 begins in Turin, where it branches off from the city bypass Turin (Italian ring road ). In Avigliana it reaches the Alps and follows the river Dora Riparia past the places Condove, Susa, Susa and Oulx. In the A32 Bardonecchia end right next to Mont- Cenis tunnel.

In France, the highway continues as Autoroute A43.

Expansion of state

The total length of the highway is 73 km, of which there are 19 km of bridges and 18 km in tunnels. The route is expanded to four lanes throughout and has three rest stops.

Due to the mountainous location the A32 has several tunnels, the longest is the cels with a length of 5,241 meters.

Many junctions are expanded only as a half- junctions. It is therefore only a driveway or exit possible in one direction.

Management

The highway is managed between Rivoli and the entrance to the Frejus tunnel from the Italian motorway company SITAF ( Società Italiana per il Traforo Autostradale del Frejus ).

Toll

The A32 is a toll road, but it has, unlike most highways, another toll system. Normally, the amount of the toll is determined by the distance traveled and used road and the vehicle class. The toll is paid on exiting the motorway motorway stations.

However, this highway is managed as an open system, ie at the two toll stations, regardless of the distance traveled, just a lump sum levied.
