AutoWeek

AutoWeek is a car magazine of Crain Communications in Detroit.

History

The first AutoWeek published on 16 July 1958 in the United States. The magazine deal for the time being exclusively with motor sport and was transferred under the name of Competition Press. The logo was a stylized striped racing helmet of the Frenchman Jean Behra. As in the 1960s increased the edition were added automotive and industrial messages and the name was changed in Competition Press & Autoweek. In the 1980s, then remained nurmehr AutoWeek. One of the early editors of the magazine was a racing driver and journalist Denise McCluggage.
