Autozam
Autozam (Japaneseオートザム, ōtozamu ) is an automobile brand of the Japanese automaker Mazda. In 1989 the brand in the Japanese market was introduced and continues AZ since 1994 under the spelling Mazda. However, manufacturers of most vehicles is the Suzuki Motor Corporation, which hangs in this badge engineering.
Autozam is also a private dealership and service network, which specializes in small cars from Mazda. Although the brand name is still active, but is no longer listed on the vehicles since 1998. Also the brand logo, which has been recently used in the AZ- Offroad and AZ- Wagon is used since 2003 only for the trademark.
Under the brand name Autozam, Mazda has also acquired the rights to import vehicles of the Italian automotive brands Autobianchi, Fiat and Lancia and may supplement this anywhere in their program. Autozam thus is the official importer of General Italian brands and parent companies of the Fiat Group Japan. The licenses for Alfa Romeo could not be acquired, as this brand in the Japanese market is active as an independent company since the 1960s.
