Away from the neo-classical and focuses on symphonic influences

Love Poems for Dying Children

After the first phase of writing and rehearsing Tandy and Tringo went to the West Sound Studios and recorded the result of the work on. In April 1996, the debut album came out on their own independent label Dark Symphonies. Symphonic sounds and influences from ancient chants unite to arrangements that are intended to give the audience intense feelings of sadness and loneliness. As a further influences bands like Dead Can Dance, Anchorage, Stoa and Enya are called.

The second album Love Poems for Dying Children ... Act II: The Garden Of Crystalline Dreams was published in May 1997. After Tandy left the band to write a book.

Since the limited edition of the debut album was sold out long ago, it was reissued in a visually and acoustically completely revised version in 1998. The new singer Jennifer Leeanna had their first use on the bonus track and Tandy returned shortly.

After excluding the new edition hardly anything was heard from the band two years, 1999, the mini-CD was released absolution. Some of the material had been earmarked for other productions that then but not came about. Again, listen to both singers.

In December 1999, Tandy returned to the band. Then Act III ... Winter and the Broken Angel was in June 2000, Love Poems for Dying Children, published and completes the trilogy of Love Poems before Dying Children. Tandy and Leeanna sang on this album both solo and together.

Eclipse

2001 Tandy moved to Texas, but still contributed her vocals to the next album at. Unlike previous productions comparatively many other musicians were involved this time. Terran Olson (formerly of maudlin of the Well and Kayo Dot ), Greg Ball ( known from Long Winters Stare and Sound of Enoch ) and Laurie Ann Haus ( sang at Fell Within, Ephemeral Sin, her own band Todesbonden and other projects). In the fall of 2004, the album Eclipse was then completed. Tandy left Autumn Tears now finally, to devote himself to her new band Ignitor.

The hallowing

2007 came out the album The hallowing, from which the band itself " rumored" indicates that it should be their last. The limited edition was sold out in three weeks, so it was reissued. With The hallowing Autumn Tears will strip off the original neoclassical sound and focus more on elements of traditional classical and chamber music. Examples of determining influences Bach, Brahms, Haydn and Mahler are called. Instead of the usual keyboards and samples were recorded live instrumentation used, strings, woodwinds, oboe, french horn and opera singing.

Although for the time being no further activities are planned, Autumn Tears is not considered resolved, rather than " hibernating located " as in previous phases. As on the debut are expected revised editions also for the second and third album of the trilogy in the not too distant future.
