Avail are an American melodic hardcore band from Richmond, Virginia.
Description
The emotional and critical texts Tim Barry's fit with their often anthemic choruses in the Southern rock and Mississippi Delta blues -country -influenced melodies of the songs one, which is based on a punk rock rhythm foundation.
History
Originally from Northern Virginia to Avail joined together in the eighties and moved in 1990 to jointly to Richmond. For a long time the band together with some other bands from Richmond at Lookout Records, but conflicts led to separation, so Avail ultimately ended up with Fat Wreck Chords.
In 2006, Jade Tree Records released the albums Dixie, 4am Friday and Over the James again.
Since November 2006, published on Tim Barry Suburban Home Records with Rivanna Junction, Manchester and 28th & Stonewall three solo albums as well as with Lauren St. Demos a CD of demo recordings that were partly on his albums use.
