AvantGo

AvantGo was a service that could be transmitted and displayed with the messages / eNews to a PDA or a mobile phone.

Method

The user could single - special tailored to the service - subscribe to channels and then got the latest news from different areas on the PDA. Companies such as CNN, Financial Times or the ARD created the messages while they continue AvantGo distributed selectively according to user requirement. Alternatives

An alternative program to receive eNews for current handheld devices is Mobipocket. The open source program Plucker also allows you to receive any channels on PDAs - even for older devices.

With the fee-based program "World off-line" by Sunny Soft can download web pages and viewed in MS Internet Explorer.
