Avard Moncur

Avard Moncur ( born November 2, 1978 in Nassau ) is a Bahamian athlete.

At the Olympic Games in 2000 Avard Moncur only reached the semi-finals in the 400 -meter run. The following year he exhibited with 44.45 seconds in Madrid on his personal best. At the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton, he won the title in 44.64 seconds. With the 4 x 400 - meter relay team, he won silver behind the relay from the USA.

He was about 400 meters third in the 2002 Commonwealth Games. At the World Championships 2003 he reached the semi-finals only. With the season he finished fourth in the final space But the squadron was awarded the bronze medal retroactively, as the victorious U.S. squadron was later disqualified because of doping affair to Calvin Harrison.
