Avaz Twist Tower

The Avaz Twist Tower is an office skyscraper in Sarajevo 's business district Marijin Dvor in close proximity to the railway station and the tallest building in Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as on the entire Balkan Peninsula. It is the headquarters of the Bosnian newspaper publisher Avaz. The building was built between 2006 to 2009. Architect Faruk Kapidžić.

Prominent feature of the Avaz Twist Tower is its twisted glass facade. It is 142 meters high and has 40 floors (basement, ground floor, 38 floors above ground ). With an antenna of 30 meters, the building reaches a total height of 172 meters. In the 31st floor height of 100 meters there is a restaurant ( " Superb Gastro - Elite Club 31 ") with a terrace. In the 35th floor is a publicly accessible café ( " Caffe 35") and on the 36th floor, a panoramic terrace.

So far were the twin towers of the Bosmal City Center, also in Sarajevo, with a total height of 118 meters, the tallest building in the Balkans.
