AVC-Intra

AVC- Intra ( Advanced Video Codec - Intra Frame Only) is a standard developed by Panasonic HD capable intra-frame video codec. AVC- Intra is compatible with the standard MPEG-4/Part10 ( H.264/AVC ) and it uses the profiles 'High 10 Intra ' with a data rate of 50 Mbit / s and 'High 422 Intra ' with a data rate of 100 Mbit / s As the recording medium used Panasonic P2 memory cards and stores the data in MXF container format. On a P2 memory card with a storage capacity of 16 GB 16 minutes of footage (100 Mbit / s) and 32 minutes of footage (50 Mbit / s) can be stored.

Wherein intra-frame coding of each frame is coded independently of its neighboring images - in contrast to inter-frame encoding, in the encoded images in dependence of the neighboring pictures (GOP ). Other well-known representative of intra-frame coding are MiniDV, DVCAM and M -JPEG. AVC -Intra is used for coding each picture from the H.264/AVC standard advanced techniques, such as Spatial Intra Prediction.

AVC Intra supports data rates of 50 Mbit / s and 100 Mbit / s For the entropy coding method is CABAC at 50 Mbit / s used at 100 Mbit / s is CAVLC application.

AVC -Intra supports the formats interlaced ( i) and Progressive ( p ) with the following refresh rates.
