AVCEN Jetpod

The AVCEN Jetpod was an eight -seat, twin-engine STOL aircraft of the British manufacturer Avcen Limited turbine powered.

History

The company was founded on 18 October 1988 as Quick Many Ltd.. (. later European Air Charter Ltd ) in London by Michael Robert Dacre ( born January 12, 1956 † 16 August 2009) established as required airlines and 2004 in Avcen Ltd.. renamed. The manufacturing of the prototype took place at the Avcen Limited Malaysia in Patimas Technology Centre, Technology Park in Bukit Jalil a, a suburb twenty kilometers south of Kuala Lumpur, instead.

Construction

The Jetpod was as VQ STOL ( Very Quiet - Short Take Off and Landing ) aircraft developed. The length of the take-off distance was given as 125 meters. Michael Dacre died later at the scene and leaves a wife and two children.

Use

Intended were variants such as the military version of M -300, M- 400 for the Navy and the U- 600 as a UAV.
