History

The brand name Avdel goes back over 75 years. It originated from " Aviation Developments', the company's original name when founded in 1936 was to have started with the production of unique range of Speed ​​fasteners for the burgeoning aviation industry. In the 50 years the company has focused on providing new value added assembly solutions. This " system " approach created greater optimization and provided customers with a single source for dependable fasteners and installation tools.

In 1961 the company was renamed " Avdel " and substantial growth throughout the next two decades she has been one of the world's largest manufacturer of blind rivets and processing equipment. With new locations in Europe, the U.S. and the Asia-Pacific region, the global expansion of Avdel group in the 60s, 70s and 80s was continued. At the same time a network of authorized dealers and concessionaires in more than forty countries was established.

In May 1994, the group of Textron was purchased and renamed " Avdel Textron ." The group was part of Textron Fastening Systems, an alliance of fastening companies Textron possession. 2006 Textron Fastening Systems was sold to Platinum Equity, renamed Acument Global Technologies and structured into several units market and regionally oriented. Within this group of companies the Avdel organization was established as a separate entity again - with greater autonomy in all business activities, investments, and strategies.

2010 Acument Global Technologies business units Avdel and Global Electronics & Commercial ( " GEC " ) were advised by fund bought by CVC Asia Pacific Limited (CVC ) and Standard Chartered Private Equity Limited ( SCPEL ). Both companies are now under the umbrella of the newly formed therefrom global company with the name Infastech ™ ( Innovative Fastening Technologies ), headquartered in Singapore.
