Ave (Subregion)
The Ave Region is a statistical Portuguese sub-region and part of the Região Norte. While the majority of circuits to include Braga District, Santo Tirso and Trofa are assigned to the District of Porto. In the North Ave adjacent to Cávado and Alto Trás -os- Montes, in the east and south by the Tamego and to the west by Grande Porto. Area: 1238 km ². Population ( 2001): 509 969. The subregion are assigned to the following groups ( concelhos ):
