Avi Mograbi

Avi Mograbi ( born 1956 in Tel Aviv, Hebrew אבי מוגרבי ) is an Israeli documentary filmmaker. His films are often experimental in form and critically examine with Israel's policy towards the Palestinians.

Mograbi studied from 1979 to 1982 Philosophy at Tel Aviv University and art at the Ramat Hasharon Art School. After graduation, he worked as assistant director and production assistant before making his first film directed in 1989.

His film Avenge But One of My Two Eyes had its premiere at the International Film Festival of Cannes 2005.

2009 received Mograbi, endowed with 5,000 euros Konrad Wolf Prize of the Berlin Academy of Arts, which honored him as " dedicated witnesses of the conflicts in the Middle East."
