Aviamilano Scricciolo

The Aviamilano P.19 Scricciolo ( Wren ) was a light two-seater monoplane with side by side seats, which was designed by Ermenegildo Preti according to the requirements of the "Aero Club d' Italia ". Made the aircraft was in the 1960s by the company " Aviamilano Construzioni Aeronautiche ", which was located on the airfield Bresso, near Milan.

History

The first flight of the prototype took place on 13 December 1959. The Certificate of Airworthiness was issued in April 1960. After approval, the aircraft for further flight testing of the Aero Club in Milan was passed. Until mid-1963 Aviamilano put forth the first batch of 25 aircraft. They had a Continental O -200 -A piston engine with 100 hp (75 kW), which drove a two-blade wooden propeller with constant speed. The aircraft had a fuselage made ​​of welded steel tubing with fabric covering. The airfoil was a wooden structure with a front edge of plastic reinforced with glass fiber.
