Aviano

Aviano ( Friulian: Davian ) is a municipality in the province of Pordenone at the foot of the Dolomites in northern Italy. The 159 m s.l.m. has preferred place 9085 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) and an area of 113 km ².

Attractions

  • The Castello di Aviano is a ruin of a castle from the first half of the 10th century.

Traffic

Aviano is located on the little-used railway line Gemona del Friuli- Sacile and has a railway station. By train, the place is better achieved over the ten kilometers to the south of Pordenone railway station on the railway line Venezia -Udine and then by bus. In Pordenone and the A28 motorway passes, is connected to the Aviano on country roads. The part of the municipality of Aviano winter Piancavallo can be reached from Aviano also on a country road.

Military airfield
