Aviano ( Friulian: Davian ) is a municipality in the province of Pordenone at the foot of the Dolomites in northern Italy. The 159 m s.l.m. has preferred place 9085 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) and an area of 113 km ².

Aviano is located on the little-used railway line Gemona del Friuli- Sacile and has a railway station. By train, the place is better achieved over the ten kilometers to the south of Pordenone railway station on the railway line Venezia -Udine and then by bus. Military airfield
