Aviat Eagle II

The Christen Eagle is an aerobatic light aircraft. There are a single-seat (Eagle I) and a two-seat version ( Eagle II). The machine is available either as a kit or fully assembled.

Development

The first flight of the Eagle II took place in February 1977, followed by the Eagle I. basis of the design were the experiences that Frank Christensen had gathered at the famous Pitts Special. Meanwhile, the company Aviat Aircraft has taken over the production in Wyoming.

The aircraft is fully aerobatic and is therefore also used in aerobatic training. What is striking is the small size of the designed as a biplane machine. All flight maneuvers, including spin can be flown without restrictions. The machine also has excellent low speed characteristics.

While it is a pure competition engine at the Eagle I, the Eagle II is also suitable for training purposes and for cross-country flights.
